metallica - kill 'em all

Metallica's debut album Kill 'Em All was released on July 25, 1983, through the independent label Megaforce Records. \n \nThe group was signed by Megaforce with a recording budget of $15,000 after label head Jon Zazula took notice of their No Life 'til Leather demo tape (1982).The album was originally intended to be titled as Metal Up Your Ass, with a hand holding a dagger as it emerged out of a toilet bowl as the artwork. They eventually changed the artwork and name on the label's suggestion as the distributors weren't too sure if it would sell. \n \n
