TINARIWEN - AMAN IMAN: WATER IS LIFE

Hailing from Mali, Tinariwen are the undisputed kings of Tishoumaren, a genre that blends traditional Tuareg music with rock and roll music.  On  Aman Iman, they crank things up a notch, weaving their signature hypnotic rhythms with soaring guitar riffs and frontman Mohammed Ag Itlale's powerful vocals.

Aman Iman translates to "Water is Life" in Tamashek, the language spoken by the Tuareg people, Tinariwen's cultural background.  Water is precious in the desert, and this album reflects its importance, not just for survival, but also for the music itself.
