Shabaka, known for his dynamic presence in Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming, takes a soulful solo journey with "Afrikan Culture." Drawing inspiration from jazz legends like Pharoah Sanders, Shabaka infuses "Afrikan Culture" with a sense of spiritual awakening.

Gone are the days of solely wielding his tenor saxophone; Shabaka now delves into the depths of bass clarinet, clarinet, and even exotic instruments like the kora and shakuhachi. It's like he's on a sonic safari, blending African rhythms with meditative melodies, creating a vibe that's both elusive and entrancing.

And Shabaka's not alone on this journey—he's joined by a stellar lineup of collaborators including Alina Bzhezhinska on harp, Kwake Bass on electronics, Dave Okumu on guitar, and Kadialy Kouyate on kora.
