Habibi Funk’s work has shaped how we think about digging, listening, and sharing music with our community, so hosting him at Runway 27 Taproom and Kitchen is a real moment for us.
Years of searching through shops, private collections, and tapes from Casablanca to Cairo, Beirut to Khartoum, have led to a catalogue of 60s–80s Arabic funk, soul, and disco made for living rooms and rooftop parties, now finding its way to our floor.
Supported by our dear friend Digging in India, whose work documenting and archiving music from South Asia has carried these stories far and wide also joins On The Jungle Floor on the decks through the night.
