Every great album holds stories. Liner Notes is our in-store series where artists walk us through their own records - not just the sound, but the moments, memories, and ideas behind each track. It’s about slowing down and listening with more intention.
On Thursday, August 21st, The Indian Sonic Research Organisation brings its ISSAI label showcase to On The Jungle Floor, presenting two remarkable releases: the raw, offbeat punk of Emergency Kiss and the immersive Indo-German sound project New Ecologies.
Emergency Kiss
Formed in the late ’90s, this three-piece band channelled pure punk energy with limited technical know-how, quirky attitude, and Hindi lyrics picked up from Bollywood and TV - a language they could hardly speak, but made entirely their own.
New Ecologies
An ambitious collaboration between artists from India and Germany, blending field recordings of animals and birds collected by scientists at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behaviour with music from a diverse range of producers and DJs.
Artists featured: Anant Rohmetra, Bangalore Computer Club, Firat Yildiz, I7hvn, Murthovic, Peter Carey & Vinayak A.

• The event may be photographed and recorded by the organizers for promotional purposes.
Food and Beverages:
• No food and beverages will be served at the venue
Cancellation and Changes:
• The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event in case of unforeseen circumstances.
• In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be issued to ticket holders.
Liability:
• The organizers and the venue are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur during the event.
Miscellaneous:
• By purchasing a ticket, the ticket holder agrees to these terms and conditions.

- Once you receive the confirmation email, your ticket is booked. There's no need for a QR code or physical ticket. To enter the event, simply provide your name or phone number at the entrance.
