This week our rotating #OTJFGuestPlaylist features the unbelievably creative Bangalore-based visual designer & illustrator, Noopur Choksi @cookshop_ruin. Her playlist, titled ‘Music for Daydreamers’ is a collection of songs she holds close to her heart. According to Noopur, the playlist is “packed with warm sounds that are genre-fluid, fierce, layered and emotionally motivated - Songs that are each microcosms of their own. A true testament and reflection of my Leo-Virgo self.” Noopur studied Graphic design at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad. Her art is a reflection of her experimentation with typography, narratives and image-making and she is an absolute master at using visualisation to externalise the often intangible, energetic, emotional environments of her subjects. Noopur strives to create visuals that challenge perception, push boundaries and are not afraid to be strong and unapologetic in their interpretations. She tends to gravitate towards stories that depict a surrealistic and intimate representation of human nature and often involve music, science and organic elements in unusual contexts. She's currently spending her time working on unfinished projects, doing loads of dance workouts, daydreaming, cooking dinners, learning music theory and hyperventilating about this year being a blur! Noopur’s playlist “Music for Daydreamers” will be available via the link in our bio all week and features tracks from artists like D'Angelo, Tyler, The Creator, Slum Village, Blue Hawaii, James Blake, Temani, ATCQ, Charlotte Day Wilson & more.
