Caution to the Wind is the debut studio album by Indian indie musician Malavika Manoj under her stage name Mali. Describing the album she says, “There was a hip-hop influence, a bit from The Carpenters and a wide variety of influences.” In an Instagram post she further explained the album cover art saying “The colour purple reflects everything this album sounds like to me — a confident shade of confusion between hot and cold, a place of pause between calm and chaotic. And to me this artwork is a true testament to the idea that anything that’s worth it takes time.”
