Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock is his 13th studio album released under Columbia Records. Recorded along with his new band, the Headhunters, he decided against the use of guitars on the album instead opting for one of the defining sounds of the album the clavinet. The album is considered of the most important jazz records of all time and a career altering work for Herbie Hancock.
